Dear friends,
- Do you have friends? Well, Sally doesn’t. Sally called Chabad expressing interest in connecting with likeminded friends and to reconnect with her own heritage for the first time in over 30 years. That Erev Shabbat she received a warm visit, a Challah, a connection and opportunity to re-engage. You inspired her with the warmth of Judaism.
- Paul is interested in furthering his Jewish education for him and his children, yet cannot afford the cost of Hebrew School or adult education classes. We reinforce the Chabad of Monroeville policy that no one will ever be turned away or be made to feel uncomfortable due to inability to pay. You create a welcoming and non-judgmental community.
- Joe reached out to Chabad on behalf of his Mom, a Jewish senior in Murrysville who is feeling lonely and abandoned. This resulted in setting up a friendship and a connection to help her feel part of the community. You are there invigorating.
- When delivering 75 Chanukah gift packages, 25 “Seder’s in a bag”, 125 Prayer books of hope, delicious Kosher meals to the local hospitals and assisted living facilities as part of the new “Chabad on Call” Initiative, it is only thanks to you that we can extend a helping hand. You answer the call.
Whether it is the abovementioned programs or other social, educational and holiday activities for young and old in our community, it is your contributions that make it happen!
